CEREAL BARS 
3/4 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. oats
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
6 c. Rice Krispies cereal

Combine butter, sugar, milk, and salt. Cook to soft ball stage, 240 degrees. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and lemon juice.

In greased 13 x 9 inch pan, combine cereals, oats, and nuts. Pour on hot syrup; stir lightly to coat cereal and nuts. Spread mixture evenly. Sprinkle coconut on top. Press firmly into pan. Let set 4 hours. When firm, cut into squares. Makes 30 bars.
