ITALIAN PASTA SALAD 
1/3 c. oil
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
2 to 3 drops hot pepper sauce
2 med. tomatoes, peeled, coarsely chopped
2 jars whole mushrooms, drained
1 garlic clove, minced
6 oz. linguini, broken in half
2 c. cooked roast beef or ham strips
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. coarsely chopped, seeded, unpeeled cucumber

In large bowl, beat together oil and vinegar until well mixed. Add salt, basil, hot pepper sauce and garlic. Set aside to blend flavors. Cook linguini to desired doneness as directed on package, drain and rinse with cold water. Add linguini and remaining ingredients to dressing, toss lightly. Cover and chill several hours or overnight.
