CHICKEN-N-DUMPLINGS 
1 broiler, boiled and boned
5 eggs
4 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
1 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. water (approx.)

Mix together eggs, flour, salt, shortening and milk. Add water (if necessary) slowly, just enough to make good dough. Knead. Roll out thin. Cut into 1 inch strips. Break strips about 2 inches long, drop into boiling salted chicken broth. Boil 12-15 minutes or until done. Add the cooked chicken pieces. Salt and pepper to taste.
