RED VELVET CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 c. whole milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond flavor
1 bottle red food color

Cream Crisco, butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add milk, flavors, coloring and flour alternating until all is used. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour.

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. evaporated milk

Mix together and spread over cake. Sprinkle with pecans or walnuts if desired.
