APPLE BREAD 
2 lg. juice oranges
1 c. raisins
2 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. walnuts, coarsely chopped
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. melted butter

Grate orange rind and set aside. Juice oranges and combine with rind, raisins, and applesauce. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into large bowl. Stir in sugar, then nuts. Add eggs and butter to applesauce mixture; stir in flour mixture until just blended. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pans. Divide batter between the 2 pans. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Turn out of pan and cool on wire rack.
