RASPBERRY STRIPS 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. butter or (butter)
1/2 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour

Cream butter, butter, sugar - very well. Add flour - do not push flour down into cup as you are sifting or it will make the dough too stiff. Roll into four strips about 16 inches long. Place on cookie sheet. Then with finger make a little "valley" down the center of each strip - put raspberry jam in "valley".

Bake at 350 degrees for about 22 minutes. WATCH carefully as they burn easily. Frost with the following frosting.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
Enough water to make runny

Frosting can be dribbled over strips. Cut into bars while warm.
