BEER CAKE | |
1 c. Spry 2 c. brown sugar, packed 2 eggs, well beaten 3 c. flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. cloves 2 c. beer 1 c. nuts, chopped 2 c. dates, chopped Cream Spry; add sugar gradually. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Combine and sift all dry ingredients. Add to cream mixture. Add beer slowly. Fold in nuts and dates. Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check after 1 hour. |
