BARBARA'S BEST BROWNIES | |
2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened Baker's chocolate 1/2 c. butter 1 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. McCormick vanilla extract 1/2 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. chopped California walnuts Melt chocolate over hot water. Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted chocolate, vanilla and flour. Mix nuts into batter and pour into an 8"x8"x2" pan. Bake in slow oven, 325 degrees for 35 minutes or until done. Frost brownies if you wish. Yield: 12 to 16 brownies. |
