MAPLE PECAN BUTTER CRESCENTS | |
1 c. butter, room temperature 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring 2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely minced pecans Powdered sugar Cream butter with sugar until smooth; add egg and beat until fluffy. Beat in the flavoring. Stir in the flour and salt until dough is smooth, then stir in the minced pecans. Chill 1/2 hour. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of the dough into balls, then roll out to make an oval shape which can be turned into a crescent shape. (Balls can also be flattened with a fork.) Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are firm but not browned. Remove from oven and dust powdered sugar over cookies while still warm. Makes about 4 dozen. |
