1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. plus 3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. oatmeal

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Put 2/3 of mixture in greased pan.

12 oz. chocolate bits
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 can Eagle Brand milk

Melt over low heat. Add 1/2 cup nut meats and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Spread on top of first layer. Drop balance of first mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
