SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE | |
1 c. butter flavored Crisco 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 1 c. sour cream 3 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla, lemon or almond (or a combination of two) flavorings Cream together sugar and Crisco until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Add soda, salt to flour and alternate adding mixture and sour cream until all has been thoroughly mixed. Add flavoring of your choice. Mix well. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Pour mixture into a greased and floured tube pan. Cook for about 1 hour. Cool and remove from pan. (Lillian Volentine's Husband) |
