POPCORN BALLS 
1/2 lb. popcorn
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. molasses
2/3 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/8 tsp. baking powder

Combine sugar, molasses and vinegar. Heat to boiling point. Add cream of tartar; boil to soft crack stage. Remove from fire. Add butter, baking soda and flavoring. Pour over popcorn.
