CHICKEN & DUMPLINGS 
Cook chicken in salted water until tender and bone when cooked and cooled.

DUMPLINGS:

(I was never able to make good dumplings until I found this recipe.)

3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 well beaten egg
1 tsp. salt (unless broth is salty)
1 c. boiling chicken broth

Sift flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Pour boiling broth over flour mixture. Mix, let stand until cold and add the beaten egg to mixture. (If dough is too stiff to roll, add little sweet milk). Roll and cut in desired shape and thickness. Drop in boiling broth. Cover and cook 15 minutes and then add chicken and serve. Serves 4 to 6.
