CHOC-OAT-CHIP COOKIES 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (opt.)
2 1/2 c. Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned), uncooked
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat well.

3. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well.

4. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and nuts; mix well.

5. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

6. Bake 9 to 10 minutes for a chewy cookie or 12 to 13 minutes for a crisp cookie.

7. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. Cool completely. About 5 dozen 2 1/2" cookies.
