4 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. tapioca
1/2 c. (or less) sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (13 oz.) can crushed pineapple

Mix all ingredients. Let stand for 5 minutes. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Cool. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
