SOFT PRETZELS 
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/4 c. honey
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
5 c. flour (about)
Egg white
Coarse salt

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add honey and egg yolk. Heat milk and melt butter in milk. Add warm milk and butter and salt to yeast. Stir in flour and knead for 5 minutes.

Put dough in greased bowl and let rise about 1 hour. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into strips and shape in pretzels or letters or whatever.

Brush with egg white and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake on greased pan 15-20 minutes at 425 degrees until golden brown.
