THE 26TH STREET SANDWICH | |
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger 26 oz. diced tomatoes 26 oz. canned bean sprouts, drained 3 green peppers, diced fine 1 med. onion, diced fine 1/8 lb. fresh mushrooms 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, diced 1 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. salt or to taste 1 tbsp. pepper 1 tbsp. Lawry's seasoned salt 1 tsp. garlic powder Mix all ingredients together and use 8 ounces for each sandwich. Mixture is crumbly and doesn't hold together in a patty. Saute 8 ounces of the mixture for each sandwich. Serve open faced on buttered and toasted kaiser rolls. If desired, top with commercial creamy cucumber dressing. |
