MOZZARELLA STEAK | |
2 lb. beef round steak, 1/2 inch thick 3 tbsp. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up 1 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. basil 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese (6 oz.) Cut meat in serving size pieces and coat with flour. Melt butter in skillet; brown meat on both sides. Place in 12 x 8 inch baking dish. Mix tomatoes, salt, basil, and green pepper. Pour over meat. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove, cover and sprinkle Mozzarella cheese and bake 5 minutes more. |
