| LIL'S SPAGHETTI SALAD | |

My dear friend Lil gave this recipe about 20 years ago and is still the families favorite salad anytime of year... They say.. "Grandma, make the spaghetti salad"... It is yummy! 1 (16 oz.) box angel hair spaghetti (cooked and cooled) 3 medium tomatoes, chopped (I use Roma) 1 medium green pepper, chopped 1 small or 1/2 large purple onion, chopped 1/2 (5 1/2 oz.) bottle Johnny's Salad Elegance 1/4 cup red wine vinegar (Regina or Star brands) 1 env. Italian salad dressing, prepared per directions (Good Seasons) Cook and cool pasta. Add to bowl of pasta: chopped tomatoes, chopped green pepper, chopped purple onion, Johnny's Salad Elegance, red wine vinegar and Italian dressing... Mix well, chill and serve cold... NOTES: • I find the Johnny's Salad Elegance at a Albertson's or Safeway store in the spice section... • Can use other bottled Italian dressing but it is not as Good! Submitted by: Nancy Duel | |

Would LOVE to try this recipe - but have "no idea" what Johnny's Salad Elegance is. Will try to find it on line at Walmart. Do you know of a substitute that might work? This is something that is not seen or heard of in my area.
