APPLE BREAD 
1 stick butter, softened
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. peeled & chopped Granny Smith apples

Cream together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy. Sift together flour, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir in chopped apples. Pour into greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes or until tests done with toothpick. Makes 2 small loaves or 1 large loaf.
