BARBECUED HAMBURGERS 
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1/2 c. milk
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. shortening or salad oil
Salt and pepper

SAUCE:

4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. vinegar
4 tbsp. sugar
1 c. catsup
1 lg. onion, chopped

Moisten crumbs with milk. Add meat; salt and pepper. Form in 8 large patties. Brown on both sides in fat or oil. Mix all ingredients for the sauce, add to meat patties when browned. Cover; cook slowly 10 to 15 minutes.
