SWEDISH APPLE PIE | |
Very quick to prepare; the apples don't need to be peeled and there is no crust to be rolled out. 5 to 6 med. apples, Jonathan, Cortland, Red or Golden Delicious or combination 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. cinnamon 3/4 c. butter, melted 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. flour 2 eggs 1/2 c. nuts, chopped Pinch of salt 1/2 tsp. real vanilla or 1 tsp. imitation vanilla Core and slice apples. Fill 9 or 10 inch pie plate 2/3 full with apples. Sprinkle with tablespoon each of sugar and cinnamon. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold. |
