SQUASH APPLE CASSEROLE 
5 c. Hubbard squash, diced 1 inch
3 c. apples, Granny Smiths diced same

Quantities do not have to be exact.

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Put squash and apples into casserole. Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour over apples and squash. Stir.

Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until vegetables are soft. Only stir once or twice. You don't want mixture to be mushy but in formed chunks.
