BUTTERMILK NUT BREAD 
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (scant)
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts)

Beat eggs, add sugar and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk to egg mixture. Add nuts. Pour into 2 well greased loaf pans, let stand 20 minutes and bake in 325 degree oven for about 1 hour. Makes 2 (8"x4") loaves.
