CRACKED WHEAT BATTER ROLLS | |
1 1/2 c. water 3/4 c. cracked wheat cereal 1/4 c. butter 1 c. milk 1/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tbsp. yeast Bring water and cereal to a boil, simmer 2 minutes. Stir in butter until melted. Add milk and cool to 120 degrees. Combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast. Beat well. Add cereal mixture and eggs and beat at high speed for 5 minutes. Stir in 1 1/4 cups flour. Cover and let rise until double. Stir and fill muffin tins. Let rise until it reaches top of tins. Bake at 375 degrees for 18-25 minutes. |
