BEST OATMEAL COOKIES WITH
CHOCOLATE CHIPS
 
1 1/4 c. Crisco butter
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. oatmeal
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat together butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, soda, salt and oatmeal; add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by round tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool 1 minute; remove to cooling rack. Store in lightly covered container.
