DOUBLE SWEET COFFEE CAKE | |
2 frozen loaves bread, thawed 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 sm. pkg. regular (not instant) vanilla pudding 1/2 c. (or more) walnuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon Cut thawed loaves into 1-inch slices, then cut each slice into 3-4 pieces. Grease 9x13 inch pan and sprinkle with walnuts. Melt butter in saucepan and add brown sugar. Add sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. After this is melted and still warm, pour over bread pieces. Allow bread to rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Let set a few minutes. Turn upside down onto cookie sheet or serving plate. Serve warm. |
