SOUTHERN CRANBERRY BREAD 
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 orange, juice & rind & enough boiling water to make 3/4 c. liquid
1 egg
3 tbsp. Mazola oil
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. fresh cranberries, sliced

Sift together sugar, flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Then add orange juice and rind and enough boiling water to make 3/4 cup liquid, egg and Mazola oil. Beat in mixer until well blended. Then fold in nuts and fresh cranberries. Bake in a buttered loaf pan about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
