CHOCOLATE ICE BOX COOKIES 
3 3/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
3/4 c. milk
8 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and mix well. Add milk and mix. Sift together the flour, cocoa, salt and soda, add to the creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Roll dough and then chill in the refrigerator. Cut in slices as needed and bake. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes on an ungreased baking sheet. Yield: 150 cookies.
