1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. Crisco
1 c. diced apples

Sift flour and cinnamon. Blend sugar, egg and Crisco. Add this to flour mixture. Blend well. Then add apples. Bake at 325 degrees.

SAUCE:

1 c. hot water
1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook until thick.
