EASY CHICKEN DINNER | |
1 chicken cut in 4 pieces 4 med. potatoes, peeled 6 carrots, peeled and split lengthwise 4 sm. onions 1 c. celery, chopped Put potatoes, carrots and onions in rectangular baking pan with 3 inch sides. Sprinkle with chopped celery. Wash and dry chicken pieces, dredge well with flour. Place them on top of vegetables so that vegetables are covered. Sprinkle with Johnny's Season salt. Bake at 350 degrees until chicken is browned (about 1 hour). Add 1 cup water, baste chicken so that all flour is moistened. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake another 1/2 hour or until vegetables are tender. Cut chicken in serving size pieces. Serves 4. (For no salt diets substitute Mrs. Dash no salt seasoning). Serve this with hot rolls and a tossed salad for a quick and easy meal. |
