THREE DAY LIME PICKLES 
7 lb. sliced or cubed cucumbers

Soak 24 hours in lime water (1 cup lime to 1 gallon water). Move pickles gently in lime water 3 times while soaking. Wash well in 3 waters (carefully, they break easily). Soak in clear water 3 hours. Drain.

Mix:

9 c. sugar
2 qt. vinegar (apple cider)
1 tbsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tbsp. pickling seed
1 tbsp. salt

Pour this mixture over pickles. Let stand overnight. Then slowly boil them in this mixture 35 minutes. Put in hot sterilized jars and seal.
