CHOCOLATE CARAMEL NUT BARS 
1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
2/3 c. (5 oz. can) evaporated milk
1 (2 layer) German chocolate cake mix with pudding
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 (6 oz.) package chocolate chips, package
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk, stirring until smooth. In bowl, combine remaining milk, cake mix and butter and mix well.

Press half of cake mixture into bottom of ungreased (8 x 10) baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees 8 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1 cup walnuts crust, top with caramel mixture, spreading to edges of pan. Top with remaining cake mixture (I take remaining cake "dough" and flatten it and lay it over caramel).

Press gently into caramel mixture. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes. Cut into bars.
