SOUR CREAM CRESCENTS | |
1 lb. butter 2 egg yolks 4 c. flour 2 c. sour cream (1 pt.) Cut butter into flour with pastry blender. In another bowl mix egg yolks with sour cream. Add this to flour and butter. Form in the shape of a loaf of bread. Wrap in foil and refrigerate overnight. Dough is very sticky, use a little flour to form shape if necessary. Divide dough into 4 parts, roll each part into a large circle. FILLING: 2 c. sugar 3 tbsp. cinnamon 1 c. crushed nuts Sprinkle filling over entire circle. Cut dough into sixteen pieces (like a pizza), and roll each piece into a crescent shape, starting with widest end. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. While still warm dip back into filling mix. |
