YEAST BREAD & ROLLS 
1 c. milk
1 pkg. dry yeast
2 c. flour (white)
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar

Heat milk to scalding. Cool to lukewarm. Put lukewarm milk and yeast in blender container and run on speed 5 (or high) for 2 seconds. Add shortening, egg, salt and sugar. Cover container and run on speed 5 (or high) for 5 seconds.

Pour into the bowl of flour, stir until thoroughly mixed. Cover and let rise 1 1/2 hours until doubled in bulk. Stir down. Turn out on lightly floured board. Shape into loaf or 24 rolls. Let rise 45 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Bake in oven preheated to 375 degrees as directed.
