Butter a casserole dish. Fill with sliced apples. Add 1 cup sugar, dash of salt, several pieces of butter, sprinkle with cinnamon.

1 egg, well beaten
About 1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix well and pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are soft and crust is golden brown about 30-45 minutes.
