SNICKER BAR CAKE 
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 stick butter
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. milk
1 (16 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecans

Prepare cake mix as directed. Pour half of batter into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Melt caramels with milk and butter.

Remove cake from oven and pour caramels over it. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Dot remaining cake batter over the top and return cake to oven at 250 degrees for 20 minutes. Then turn oven to 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until done.

Serve cake with chocolate topping: 1 c. milk 1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Mix until stiff.
