1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 2/3 c. evaporated milk 3/4 c. butter 6 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. chopped nuts Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk; set aside. Melt butter and rest of milk. Mix cake mix with nuts and add to butter mixture. Take half of mixture and press into 13"x9" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove and sprinkle chips onto crust. Then drizzle on caramel mixture. Press on the other half of dough. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and refrigerate before cutting. 24 squares |
