CHERRY MASH CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
Dash of salt
24 reg. marshmallows
1/2 c. plus 1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. cherry chips
10 oz. crushed salted peanuts (without hulls)
3/4 c. crunchy peanut butter
12 oz. chocolate chips

Combine sugar, milk, salt, marshmallows and 1/2 cup butter in pan over medium heat. Cook to soft ball stage. Add cherry chips and vanilla. Pour into 9 x 13 inch buttered pan. Let this cool a while before putting on the top layer. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler or microwave. Add 1 teaspoon butter, peanut butter and peanuts and spread over hardened cherry mixture. This takes awhile to set up.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
