KEY LIME PIE 
4 eggs
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1/3 c. key lime juice
Baked pie shell

TOPPING:

2 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar
Dash of salt
1/4 tsp. lime juice

Beat yolks of 4 eggs and the white of 1 until thick. Add condensed milk and beat again. Add lime juice and beat until thick. Beat 3 remaining egg whites until dry and fold into above mixture. Pour into baked pie shell and bake in slow oven until set, approximately 15 minutes.

TOPPING: (Meringue) Beat egg whites with rotary beater until stiff. Gradually add sugar and salt until mixture holds peak. Stir in lime juice very lightly. Spread on pie filling and place in hot oven for 3 minutes or until meringue is light brown.
