CHERRY NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Cherry juice (add enough water to make 1/2 c.)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (10 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained, halved

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and mix well. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with cherry juice. Fold in cherries and nuts, mix well to distribute. Pour batter into 3 well-greased 2 1/2 x 5 x 2 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
