GOLD NUGGET MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
1 (8 oz.) pkg. macaroni 2 tbsp. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. grated American cheese 2 tbsp. butter 1 c. evaporated milk, diluted with 1 c. boiling water 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. buttered bread crumbs Cook and drain macaroni according to package directions. In the meantime, make a white sauce of the butter, flour, milk, boiling water, salt and pepper. Add the grated cheese, stirring vigorously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Reserve 1/2 cup of the cheese sauce and mix the remainder with the cooked macaroni. |
