LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. hot ground sausage
1 can (3 1/2 c.) tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 env. dry spaghetti mix
2 cloves garlic
1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
8 oz. thin sliced Mozzarella cheese
2 c. creamy cottage cheese
3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
8 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles

Brown beef and sausage. Spoon off excess fat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti mix, garlic and mushrooms. Cover and simmer 40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Salt to taste. Cook noodles in boiling water until tender. Drain and rinse in cold water. In two baking dishes, 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 1 1/2", layer noodles, sauce mix and cheeses. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Freeze second dish for use later if desired. Each dish serves 6 to 8.
