CINNAMON ROLLS 
1 pkg. fast action yeast
1 1/4 c. lukewarm water
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. soft shortening
1 beaten egg
2 1/2 tbsp. powdered milk
4-4 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water. Add shortening and beat egg. Add flour, powdered milk and salt; mix thoroughly. Cover and let rise in warm place until double. Punch down and roll into 1/4 inch thickness.

Brush with softened butter; sprinkle with sugar cinnamon mixture and roll lengthwise. Cut into 2 1/2 inch rolls. Place on greased tray; let rise until double. In 400 degree oven, cook 20-25 minutes. Glaze with mixture of soft butter; powdered sugar and vanilla. Servings 14-16.
