SUGAR PLUM BREAD (PRUNE BREAD) 
1 c. prunes, cut fine and packed
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. boiling water

Mix and let stand until next part is ready.

2 c. white sugar
2 rounding tbsp. Crisco
2 eggs, well beaten

Add prune mixture:

1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Pour batter into #2 cans (Campbell soup cans). Cans must be greased well and have wax paper in bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour - if using loaf pan or about 35 minutes in cans.

Note: Use 1 1/2 times recipe for one small box of prunes. You may use 1 cup brown sugar and 2 white instead of 3 white.
