SOUR CREAM ONION BREAD 
2 c. flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. green onions with tops, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sour cream
1/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

In mixing bowl, stir together 1 cup of flour and the yeast. In saucepan, cook onion in the butter until tender. Stir in the sour cream, milk, sugar and salt. Heat slowly to no more than 110 degrees; add to dry ingredients in mixing bowl along with the eggs. Beat at low speed 1/2 minute, scraping bowl constantly. Beat at high speed for 3 minutes.

By hand, stir in remaining flour; spoon batter into greased 1-quart casserole, cover and let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven and cover with foil, after 10 minutes. Remove from casserole and cool on wire rack.
