DANISH PASTRY 
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp. cornstarch in a little water

Combine and bring to a boil. Add beaten egg yolk and set aside to cool.

DOUGH:

2/3 c. scalded milk
1 tbsp. sugar
1 oz. yeast
1 c. butter
Pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. flour

Scald milk with sugar; I cool the milk down and then add the yeast. Let this stand and mix butter, salt and flour. Mix like pie dough, then add yeast mixture. Add 3 beaten egg yolks; mix together. Divide dough in parts, line pan with 1 part. Add filling, then the remaining dough on top. Let stand 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Cool and frost lightly with powdered sugar and nuts.
