CUCUMBER SALAD 
4 lg. cucumbers
1 or 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Onion powder to taste
Paprika (Hungarian brand in tin provides fullest flavor)
Salt
1 pt. sour cream

Peel cucumbers. Slice paper thin. Place sliced cucumbers in large bowl of VERY salty water; let soak 1 hour, then drain. Squeeze out as much water as possible from slices (squeezing between two hands works best). Cucumbers should lose their white color and appear almost transparent. Place squeezed slices in bowl; add sour cream, garlic, onion powder and paprika (dusted), mix well. Let sit for 1/2 to 1 hour, sprinkle top with more paprika, do not mix in (garnish), and serve.

Goes great with just about anything and is perfect with holiday meals.
