CHICKEN KIEV | |
1 stick butter 1 stem parsley 1 tsp. chives 2 mushrooms Cavender's Greek seasoning 4 chicken breasts, split 1 egg 1 tbsp. water 1 c. flour 2/3 c. soft bread crumbs 1/4 c. melted butter Melt butter. Blend parsley, chives and mushrooms with melted butter, until minced. Place in small dish. Cool; shape into a stick (like butter). Chill until firm. Flatten chicken breast with meat mallet. Cut butter into 8 pieces, put in center of chicken breast. Fold long side over butter. Fold ends over and secure with toothpicks. Sprinkle chicken with seasonings. Combine egg and water, beating well. Dredge chicken in flour, dip in egg and coat with bread crumbs. Saute in melted butter until golden brown. Place in baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. |
