2 c. sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. cocoa 1/8 c. white syrup Put all ingredients in 2-quart kettle. Cook over low heat until rolling boil, stirring constantly. Time 1 minute once rolling boil. Remove from heat, cool to lukewarm. Hand beat. Put on cake. If frosting appears sugared, beat with mixer, adding small amount of powdered sugar. |
